# List All Users

|
On unix-based systems, all system users are listed with other relevant
|
|
information in the `/etc/passwd` file. You can output a quick list of the
|
|
users by name with the following command:
|
|
|
|
```
|
|
$ cut -d: -f1 /etc/passwd
|
|
```
